Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Exporter to provide evidence if Endorsement 2767 is selected and to present to the Department of Agriculture Authorised Officer at time of inspection.

New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries recognisesAustralia as free of sudden oak death (Phytophthora ramorum).

Evidence of freedom from Sudden oak death (Phytophthora ramorum) is not required to be presented by the exporter.

All plants in the consignment are to be officially inspected and to be found free of any visually detectable regulated pests.

If visually detectable pests are found which are not listed in the New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries Standard 155.02.06, the pest’s regulatory status must be established prior to certification. This information is available in MPI Department of Agriculture Organisms Register for Imported Commodities" on their web page.

Each type of plant in the consignment must be clearly identified with its scientific name (genus and species).

Only inert/synthetic material may be used for theprotection, packaging and shipping materials of the nursery stock.

Exporters have the choice of certifyingto the media requirements as per Endorsement 2767; 


OR


plants which have been raised in media containing soil must have the roots ofthe plants dipped in Fenamiphos at 1.6g a.i. per litre of water for 30 minutes.

All plants and cuttings must be treatedfor insects and mites as per Section 2.2.1.06 (b) of the New Zealand Ministryfor Primary Industries Standard 155.02.06: Importation of Nursery Stock(published on the Ministry of Primary Industries website).


The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the department at time of authorisation.


Details of treatment to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section.

1) The plants have been sourced from a “Pest free area”, free from Sudden oak death (Phytophthora ramorum),
2) The plants were raised from seed/cuttings in soil-less rooting media in containers maintained out of contact with the soil.

1) The plants have been sourced from a “Pest free area”, free from sudden oak death (Phytophthora ramorum).
