All cuttings in the consignment are to be officially inspected and to be found free of any visually detectable regulated pests.

If visually detectable pests are found which are not listed in the Biosecurity New Zealand import health standard, the pests' regulatory status must be established prior to certification.

This information is available in MPI's "Biosecurity Organisms Register for Imported Commodities" on their web page.

Consignments are to be clearly labelled with the scientific name (genus and species).

Where budwood is derived from the same individual mother plant offshore, this must be stated on the Phytosanitary certificate.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

All plants must be treated for insects and mites as Section 2.2.1.6 (b) of the Ministry of Primary Industries Standard 155.02.06: Importation of Nursery Stock (published on the MPI web site).

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the department at time of authorisation.
