Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.
Plants must be bare rooted
Copy of the Import permit must be presented to the Department of Agriculture Authorised Officer at the time of making the appointment.

All plants in the consignment are to be officially inspected and to be found free of any visually detectable regulated pests.
If visually detectable pests are found which are not listed in the Ministry of Primary Industries import health standard, the pests regulatory status must be established prior to certification.

All consignment must be dipped prior to export in Milbemectin at the rate of 0.012grm a.i. per litre of water.
Exporter to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and to present to the Department of Agriculture Authorised Officer at time of inspection
Details of treatment are to be endorsed on the Phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section.
Exporters have the choice of certifying to the media requirements as per endorsement #2569; or
plants which have been raised in media containing soil must have the roots of the plants dipped in Fenamiphos at 1.6g a.i. per litre of water for 30 minutes.
All plants must be treated for insects and mites as Section 2.2.1.06 (b) of the Ministry of Primary Industries Standard 155.02.06: Importation of Nursery Stock (published on the MPI web site)
