Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

Treatment may be completed in Australia prior to export or on arrival in New Zealand. 

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

If treatment occurs in Australia, details of treatment to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section.

  • Carboxin at 0.8g a.i. per kg seed and captan at 0.7g a.i. per kg seed; 

OR

  • Carboxin at 0.8g a.i. per kg seed and thiram at 1g a.i. per kg seed; 

OR

  • Imazalil at 0.08g a.i. per kg seed and flutriafol at 0.08g a.i. per kg seed; 

OR

  • Imazalil at 0.08g a.i. per kg seed and triadimenol at 0.22g a.i. per kg seed.

Notes: 
  • On arrival treatment in New Zealand does not need to be verified by the department. 
  • When the consignment is to be treated on arrival, a phytosanitary certificate with no treatment details is to be issued.
