A copy of the import permit must be presented at the time of making the appointment for an inspection with an Authorised Officer.
New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries recognises Australia as free from Phytophthora ramorum. Evidence of freedom from Phytophthora ramorum is not required to be presented by the exporter.
Plants must be bare rooted.
All plants in the consignment are to be officially inspected and to be found free of any visually detectable regulated pests.
If visually detectable pests are found which are not listed in the Ministry of Primary Industries import health standard, the pests regulatory status must be established prior to certification.

Plants which have been raised in media containing soil must have the roots of the plants dipped in Fenamiphos at 1.6g a.i. per litre of water for 30 minutes. EXDOC endorsement 3488 must be used.
All plants must be treated for insects and mites as Section 2.2.1.06 (b) of the Ministry of Primary Industries Standard 155.02.06: Importation of Nursery Stock (published on the MPI web site).
1) The plants have only been grown in, and exported from, the country of origin, Australia, which is free from Xylella fastidiosa.
2) The plants have been sourced from a "Pest free area", free from Phytophthora ramorum.
3) The plants have been dipped prior to export in dicofol at the rate of 0.7g ai per litre of water.
Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 3488)
1) The plants have only been grown in, and exported from, the country of origin, Australia, which is free from Xylella fastidiosa.
2) The plants have been sourced from a "Pest free area", free from Phytophthora ramorum.
3) The plants have been dipped prior to export in dicofol at the rate of 0.7g ai per litre of water.
4) The plants were raised from seed/cuttings in soil-less rooting media in containers maintained out of contact with the soil.
