Each type of cutting in the consignment must be clearly identified with the scientific name (genus and species).
New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries recognises Australia as free from Phytophthora ramorum.
Evidence of freedom from Phytophthora ramorum is not required to be presented by the exporter.
All cuttings in the consignment are to be officially inspected and to be found free of any visually detectable regulated pests.
If visually detectable pests are found which are not listed in the New Zealand Import Health Standard, the pests regulatory status must be established prior to certification. This information is available in MPI's "Biosecurity Organisms Register for Imported Commodities" on their web page.
All cuttings must be dipped prior to export in dicofol at the rate of 0.7grm a.i. per litre of water.

If any required treatment is not completed within the prescribed period prior to export, these measures must be completed in New Zealand where such services are available, and by prior arrangement with MPI.
