These ICRs only apply to species in the Plant Biosecurity Index listed under Import Specifications for Seed as “see 155.02.05 under Coffea”.
Coffea spp seed for sowing for import into New Zealand must originate from one of the approved countries listed below.
Coffea spp seeds must be treated either prior to export or on arrival as per MPI Standard MPI-STD-ABTRT Approved Biosecurity Treatments as follows:
- Captan at 2 grm a.i. per kg of seed
- Thiram at 2 grm a.i. per kg of seed
Import Health Standard 155.02.05: Seeds for Sowing dated 21 February 2022 and MPI advice dated 1 October 2026.
