Carrots are only permitted for importation via an MPI agreed brand or supplier label.

Depending on the level of processing the documentation requirements may vary. The agreed brands and the associated documentation requirements, determined by level of processing, are listed below.

Washed and peeled carrots - exported by the following MPI agreed brand or supplier label are permitted importation into New Zealand without an accompanying phytosanitary certificate. As this product is processed, it is also exempt from the issuance of an Export permit:

• Harvest Fresh Cuts
• Bunny Bite, Carmel

Scrubbed and washed carrots - exported by the following MPI agreed brand or supplier label are permitted importation into New Zealand without an accompanying phytosanitary certificate:

• Kalfresh (processed by Kalfresh Pty Ltd)
