Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

All cuttings in the consignment are to be officially inspected and found free of any visually detectable regulated pests.

Consignment must be correctly labelled with its full botanical name (genus and species).

Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packages/bags not previously used for any purpose.

If visually detectable pests are found which are not listed in the New Zealand Import Health Standard, the pests regulatory status must be established prior to certification. This information is available in MPI's "Biosecurity Organisms Register for Imported Commodities" on their web page.

All cuttings must be treated for insects and mites asSection 2.2.1.06 (b) of the New Zealand Standard 155.02.06: Importation ofNursery Stock (published on the Ministry of Primary Industries web site).

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Details of treatment to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section.

If any required treatment is not completed within theprescribed period prior to export, these measures must be completed in NewZealand where such services are available, and by prior arrangement with MPI.

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 8029)
1) The plants in this consignment have been produced in a pest free area where Potato spindle tuber viroid and Tomato chlorotic dwarf viroid are not known to occur.

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 8030)
1) The plants have been produced in a pest free place of production, where parent plants were tested according to an NPPO approved methodology and found free from Potato spindle tuber viroid and Tomato chlorotic dwarf viroid.

Option 3 (EXDOC Endorsement 8031)
1) The plants in this consignment have been produced in a pest free area where Potato spindle tuber viroid is not known to occur.
2) The plants have been produced in a pest free place of production, where parent plants were tested according to an NPPO approved methodology and found free from Tomato chlorotic dwarf viroid.
Option 4 (EXDOC Endorsement 8032)
1) The plants in this consignment have been produced in a pest free area where Tomato chlorotic dwarf viroid is not known to occur.
2) The plants have been produced in a pest free place of production, where parent plants were tested according to an NPPO approved methodology and found free from Potato spindle tuber viroid.
