All material in the consignment must be thoroughly dried and not capable of propagation.
Consignments are to be treated either prior to export or upon arrival in New Zealand.
Consignments to be treated with methyl bromide fumigation at:
- 48 grm/m3 for 24 hours at 26 degrees celsius and above (at Normal Atmospheric Pressure);
OR
- 64 grm/m3 for 24 hours at 21-25 degrees celsius (at Normal Atmospheric Pressure);
OR
- 80 grm/m3 for 24 hours at 16-20 degrees celsius (at Normal Atmospheric Pressure);
OR
- 96 grm/m3 for 24 hours at 10-15 degrees celsius (at Normal Atmospheric Pressure);
OR
- 64 grm/m3 for 24 hours at 10 degrees celsius and above (under partial vacuum);
OR
- Heat treatment at 56 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes;
OR
- Irradiation treatment at 25 kGY.
