Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

Consignments must be treated either prior to export, or on arrival in New Zealand.

Consignment must be treated with oneof the following fungicide combinations:

  • Carboxin at 0.8grm a.i. per kgm seed and thiram at 1grm a.i. per kg seed; 
OR
  • Carboxin at 0.8grm a.i. per kgm seed and captan at 0.7grm a.i. per kg seed; 
OR
  • Imazalil at 80mg a.i. per kgm seed and triadimenol at 220mg a.i. per kg seed; 
OR
  •  Imazalil at 80mg a.i. per kgm seed and flutriafol at 80mg a.i. per kg seed.

If treatment is undertaken in Australia prior to export: 

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

If treatment is undertaken in Australia prior to export, then the treatment details are to be endorsed on the Phytosanitary certificate.

If treatment is undertaken on arrival in New Zealand, then no treatment details are to be endorsed on the Phytosanitary certificate.
