This ICR applies to:

Rooted cuttings sourced from Queensland and New South Wells.

Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Each type of cutting in the consignment must be clearly identified with its the scientific name (genus and species).

All cuttings in the consignment are to be officially inspected and to be found free of any visually detectable regulated pests.


If visually detectable pests are found which are not listed in the Biosecurity New Zealand import health standard, the pests regulatory status must be established prior to certification.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

All cuttings must be treated for insects and mites as Section 2.2.1.6 B of the Ministry of Primary Industries Standard 155.02.06: Importation of Nursery Stock (published on the MPI web site).

If any required treatment is not completed within the prescribed period prior to export, these measures must be completed in New Zealand where such services are available, and by prior arrangement with MPI.

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 5621)

1) The cuttings were raised from seed/cuttings in soil-less rooting media in containers maintained out of contact with the soil. 
2) The Bougainvillea cuttings in this consignment were produced in a pest free area from Phytophthora palmivora.

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 5623)
1) The cuttings were raised from seed/cuttings in soil-less rooting media in containers maintained out of contact with the soil.
2) The Bougainvillea cuttings in this consignment were produced in a pest free place of production for Phytophthora palmivora.
