Explanation of the endorsements

Endorsement 2097:
  • Applies to seeds of Australian origin.
  • Bacterial ring rot of potatoes (Clavibacter michiganensis subsp sepedonicus) is not known to occur in Australia. No evidence is required to endorse freedom from this pest.
Endorsement 8374:
  • Applies to seeds of non-Australian origin which have been re-packaged, processed or treated after being imported into Australia.
  • A laboratory analysis certificate stating that a representative sample of 3200 seeds was tested and found to be free of Bacterial ring rot of potatoes (Clavibacter michiganensis subsp sepedonicus) is required to endorse freedom from this pest.
Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
