Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packages/bags not previously used for any purpose.


Seeds in the consignment must be clearly identified with its scientific name (genus and species).

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Refer to the import permit to determine the appropriate additional declaration.

Products not of Australian origin may require treatment for Greater grain borer (Prostephanus truncatus) and Khapra beetle (Trogoderma granarium) as per New Caledonia's requirement. Please contact the Grain and Seed Export Program (Grain.Export@aff.gov.au) if your import permit requires treatment to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate.

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 3148)
1) Soybean cyst nematode(Heterodera glycines) and Bacterial wilt disease is not known to occur in Australia.
2) A representativesample was found free through laboratory testing of Soybean mosaic virus,Cowpea Mild Mottle Virus, Tobacco streak virus, Soybean downy mildew(Personospora manshurica), Phytophthora root and stem rot of soybean(Phythophthora megasperma f.sp. glycines), Soyabean bacterial pustule(Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. glycines) and Bacterial wilt (Curtobacterium flaccumfaciens pv. flaccumfaciens).

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 656)
1) Greater grain borer (Prostephanus truncatus) and Khapra beetle (Trogoderma granarium) are not known to occur in Australia.  

Option 3 (EXDOC Endorsement 1769)
1) Greater grain borer (Prostephanus truncatus) and Khapra beetle (Trogoderma granarium) are not known to occur in Australia.
2) Soybean mosaic virus, Cowpea Mild Mottle Virus and Phytophthora root and stem rot of soybean (Phythophthora megasperma f.sp. glycines) are not known to occur in the area of production.

Option 4 (EXDOC Endorsement 1777)
1) Greater grain borer (Prostephanus truncatus) and Khapra beetle (Trogoderma granarium) are not known to occur in Australia.
2) Crop was inspected during growing season and found to be free of Soybean mosaic virus, Cowpea Mild Mottle Virus and Phytophthora root and stem rot of soybean (Phythophthora megasperma f.sp. glycines).

Option 5 (EXDOC Endorsement 6253)

1) Greater grain borer (Prostephanus truncatus) and Khapra beetle (Trogoderma granarium) are not known to occur in Australia.
2) Crop was inspected during growing season and found to be free of Soybean mosaic virus, Cowpea mosaic virus and Phytophthora root and stem rot of soybean (Phythophthora megasperma f.sp. glycinea).

Import permits dated 22 September 2017 and 10 April 2020, NPPO advice verified on 1 April 2025.
