Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds, disease symptoms, extraneous material and external contaminations.
 
Brushed tubers are to be free from adherent soil (max tolerance 0.3% of net weight).
 
Packages must be free of litter, soil, leaves, compost or any other prohibited organic material.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Seed potatoes must be sourced from a nationally recognised seed potato certification scheme. Exporter to provide evidence of certification and present to the Authorised Officer at time of inspection.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Consignments are to be treated with an appropriate insecticide and fungicide by dipping, fumigation or dusting.

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 1860)
1) Bacterial ring rot of potatoes (Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. sepedonicus), Potato wart disease (Synchytrium endobioticum), Golden cyst nematode (Globodera pallida), Potato rot nematode (Ditylenchus destructor) and Candidatus Liberibacter solanacearum are not known to occur in Australia,
2) The area of production was inspected and tubers tested and found free from Ralstonia solanacearum phylotype IIb-1 and Potato spindle tuber viroid,
3) The area of production was tested and found to be free from Potato cyst nematode (Globodera rostochiensis).
