The ICRs are applicable to seed mix of Brachiaria decumbens and Stylosanthes scabra only.

Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


The Department of Agriculture and Water Resources Authorised Officer may accept an import permit listing the individual seed species separately.

Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packaging and labelled with botanical name on the package.

Consignments must be accompanied with a purity certificate indicating that the consignment does not contain more than 3% of seeds from prohibited species and 15% of the inert matter.

Consignments are to be treated prior to export with an insecticide and fungicide applied either by dusting, dipping or fumigation at manufacturers recommended requirements (registered label rates).

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
