Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packages/bags not previously used for any purpose.

If required by the import permit, consignments are to be treated with an approved fungicide at recommended manufacturer's requirements.

Note
  • Treatment is not required for seed exported in commercial packaging of 100g or less per packet.
  • Seed exported in commercial packaging of more than 100g per packet is to be treated with a fungicide.
  • Non-commercial consignments of seed must be treated with an insecticide and a fungicide.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
