Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material; including any animal component and whole plant material

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Exports unable to be certified by endorsement 2763 are to be further treated by heat sterilisation at recommended manufacturers' requirements.
Consignments are to be treated with an appropriate insecticide treatment by either:

Heat sterilisation:

  • 24 hours at 95 degrees celsius;

OR

  • 48 hours at 85 degrees celsius;

OR

Fumigated with Methyl bromide:

  • at 48 grm/m3 for 24 hours at 10 degrees celsius;

OR

  • at 40 grm/m3 for 24 hours at 16 degrees celsius;

OR

  • at 32grm/m3 for 24 hours at 21 degrees celsius;

OR

Fumigated with Sulfuryl fluoride:

  • at 64gm/m3 for 24 hours at 21 degrees celsius.


The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
