Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds, disease symptoms and extraneous material including other plant material and material of animal origin.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packaging and clearly labelled with botanical name.

Consignment must be accompanied with a supplier's declaration stating that seeds are non-genetically modified organisms.
Consignments are to be treated with an approved insecticide and fungicide at recommended manufacturer’s requirements (registered label rates).

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
