Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

Packages shall not be contaminated with soil, plant material or animal material.

Additional declaration which must appear on the phytosanitary certificate (original or re-export).

 Explanation of endorsement:

For Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. mangiferaeindicae an area freedom certificate is required to meet endorsement . The issuer must endorse the pest free status of the product by including the pest free declaration on the certificate.

Heat treatment

Exporters have the option to carry out heat treatment using vapour heat treatment in accordance with the following treatment schedules:

  • 47 °C (fruit core temperature) or above for 15 minutes.

or

  • 46°C (fruit core temperature) or above for 20 minutes. 

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement No 7742)
1) Area of origin free from Bactrocera cucurbitae, fruits flies of dorsalis complex, Ceratitis capitata and fruit flies genus Anastrepha spp or other fruits flies of economic importance.
2) Area of origin free from Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. Mangiferaeindicae

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement No 7743)
1) Treatment known to be effective for the destruction of all fruit fly eggs and larvae (Heat)
2) Area of origin free from Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. mangiferaeindicae
