Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.
Packages shall not be contaminated with soil, plant material or animal material.
Additional declaration which must appear on the phytosanitary certificate (original or re-export).

Explanation of endorsements:

For Erinose Mite (Aceria litchi) and Peronophythophtora litchi an area freedom certificate is required to meet endorsement . The issuer must endorse the pest free status of the product by including the pest free declaration on the certificate.

Details of treatment to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Heat treatment
Exporters have the option to carry out heat treatment using vapour heat treatment in accordance with the following treatment schedules:

  • 47 °C (fruit core temperature) or above for 15 minutes.
or
  • 46°C (fruit core temperature) or above for 20 minutes. 

 

Cold treatment
Exporters have the option to carry out cold disinfestations treatments onshore immediately prior to export or in-transit in accordance with the following treatment schedules:

  • ≤0.0°C for 10 days

or

  • ≤0.5°C for 11 days

or

  • ≤1.1°C for 12 days

or

  • ≤ 1.66 for 14 days

or

  • ≤ 2.22 for 16 days

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement No 7740)
1) Area of origin free from Bactrocera cucurbitae, fruits flies of dorsalis complex, Ceratitis capitata and fruit flies genus Anastrepha spp or other fruits flies of economic importance.
2) Area of origin free from Aceria litchi and Peronophythophtora litchi

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement No 7741)
1) Treatment known to be effective for the destruction of all fruit fly eggs and larvae (heat or cold)
2) Area of origin free from Aceria litchi and Peronophythophtora litchi
