Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

This ICR applies to whole lentils and split lentils.

Lentils are to be packed in hermetically sealed commercial packaging of more than 1kg.

Explanation of the endorsement:

  • Greater grain borer (Prostephanus truncatus) and Khapra beetle (Trogoderma granarium) are not known to occur in Australia. No evidence is required to endorse freedom from these pests.
