Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packages/bags not previously used for any purpose.


Consignments are to be accompanied with a supplier's declaration stating that the seeds are not genetically modified organisms.
Only consignments presented in commercial packaging whose weight of bare seed is greater than 100 grams per unit are to be treated with an appropriate fungicide at recommended manufacturer's requirements.

Non-commercial consignments are to be treated prior to export with an insecticide and fungicide at recommended manufacturer's requirements.
 
The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
