Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Refer to the import permit for additional declaration endorsements. Freedom from Bacterial stalk rot (Erwinia chrysanthemi) is only to be endorsed if required by the import permit.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packaging and clearly labelled withbotanical name.

Packages must be free of litter, soil, leaves, compost or any other prohibitedorganic material.
Consignments are tobe treated with an appropriate insecticide and fungicide treatment atrecommended manufacturer’s requirements.

Note:

  • Treatment is not required for seed exported in commercial packaging of 100g or less per packet.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

1) Bacterial stalk rot (Erwinia chrysanthemi) is known not to occur in the area of production.

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 1494)
1) A representative sample was found free through laboratory testing of Bacterial stalk rot (Erwinia chrysanthemi).
