Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packages/bags not previously used for any purpose.


Packages must be free of litter, soil, leaves, compost or any other prohibited organic material.

Consignments presented in commercial packaging whoseweight of bare seed is greater than 100 grams per unit are to be treated priorto export with a fungicide at recommended manufacturer's requirements.

Non-commercial consignments are to be treated prior to export with an insecticide and fungicide at recommended manufacturer's requirements.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
