Explanation of the endorsements

Endorsement 681:

Is applicable for coffee beans of Australian origin.

Endorsement 2479:

Is applicable when Australia is not the country of origin and a representative sample has undergone laboratory analysis. The exporter is to provide a laboratory analysis certificate attesting to the endorsement.
Consignments are to be fumigated with Methyl bromide at 48 grm/m3 at 21 degrees Celsius for 24 hours.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 681)
1) Coffee berry disease (Colletotrichum coffeanum var. virulens) is not known to occur in Australia.

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 2479)
1) A representative sample has been tested for the presence of and found to be free from Coffee Berry Disease (Colletotrichum coffeanum var. virulans).
