Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packages/bags not previously used for any purpose.


Packages must be free of litter, soil,leaves, compost or any other prohibited organic material

Consignments must be accompanied with apurity certificate indicating that the consignment does not contain more than3% of seeds from prohibited species and 15% of inert matter.
Consignments are to be treated with anappropriate insecticide and fungicide applied either by dusting, dipping orfumigation at recommended manufacturers requirements.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
