A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packages/bags not previously used for any purpose.


Explanation of the endorsements

Endorsement 6285:

  • Applies to seed of Australian origin.
  • No supporting documents are required for this endorsement.

Endorsement 6286:

  • Applies to seed not of Australian origin which has been re-packaged in Australia.
  • An Australia laboratory analysis certificate is required to endorse freedom from Tomato brown rugose fruit virus.
Consignments presented in commercial packaging whose weight of bare seed is greater than 100 grams per unit are to be treated with an appropriate fungicide at recommended manufacturer's requirements.

Non-commercial consignments are to be treated prior to export with an insecticide and fungicide at recommended manufacturer's requirements.
 
The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 6285)
1) Tomato brown rugose fruit virus (ToBRFV) is not known to occur in Australia.

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 6286)
1) A representative sample was tested and found to be free of Tomato brown rugose fruit virus (ToBRFV).
