Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.



A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packages/bags not previously used for any purpose.


Packages must be free of litter, soil, leaves, compost or any other prohibitedorganic material

Consignments must be accompanied with a purity certificate indicating that theconsignment does not contain more than 3% of seeds from prohibited species and15% of the inert matter.

Consignments are to be treated prior to export with aninsecticide and fungicide applied either by dipping, fumigation or dusting atrecommended manufacturer’s requirements.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
