All bulbs in the consignment must be dormant at time of inspection and arrive in New Caledonia in a dormant state.
Consignments are to be treated with an approved fumigant and fungicide at recommended manufacturers requirements.
Consignments unable to be certified by endorsement 1381 or 2454 are to be treated by:

- Hot water dipping treatment at 45 degrees Celsius for 4 hours (or equivalent);
OR
- Dipped in a solution of Fenamiphos at a concentration of 1grm of active ingredient in 1 litre of solution for 1 hour, or an equivalent active ingredient.

1) Nematodes of the species Ditylenchus spp, Pratylenchus spp and Xiphinema spp are known not to occur in the area of production.

1) A representative sample was found free through laboratory testing of nematodes of the species Ditylenchus spp, Pratylenchus spp and Xiphinema spp.
