Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


It is the exporter’s responsibility to ensure that the phytosanitary certificate is issued within 14 days of the consignment being exported from Australia.

Refer to the departure date and inspection date in the Request for Permit.


An Additional declaration is not required for seed that will not be re-exported from the Netherlands.

Listed Additional declarations are for consignments that will be re-exported from the Netherlands.

For any consignments in which the seed is intended to be re-exported from the Netherlands, the exporter to advise at time of making the appointment.

FOR RE-EXPORT CERTIFICATION ONLY- i.e.: Australian seed being exported that will be re-exported from the Netherlands.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Requests by exporters for additional endorsements of seed for sowing being exported to the Netherlands maybe complied with where it is known that the seed shall be re-exported to another destination through a re-export phytosanitary certificate.

Exporters who require endorsements for re-export purposes are to provide written evidence of the additional endorsements and which attests to the endorsement which Department of Agriculture needs to certify to on the Phytosanitary certificate.

Requests are to be emailed to MicorPlants@agriculture.gov.au for action.
Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement No 5006)
Additonal Official Phytosanitary Information:
1) Cucumber leaf spot virus and Tomato ringspot virus are not known to occur in Australia,
2) The crop was inspected during active growth and found free from Black rot (Xanthomonas campestris pv cucurbitae), Bacterial blight (Pseudomonas syringae), Bacterial leaf spot of cucurbits (Xanthomonas cucurbitae), Squash mosaic virus, Cucumber mosaic virus, Tobacco ringspot virus, Rhizome rot (Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. zingiberi), and Cucurbit angular leaf spot (Pseudomonas syringae pv. lachrymans),
3) Bacterial fruit blotch of cucurbits (Acidovorax avenae) is known not to occur in the area of production.

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement No 5007)
Additonal Official Phytosanitary Information:
1) Cucumber leaf spot virus and Tomato ringspot virus are not known to occur in Australia,
2) A representative sample was found free through laboratory testing of from Black rot (Xanthomonas campestris pv cucurbitae), Bacterial blight (Pseudomonas syringae), Bacterial leaf spot of cucurbits (Xanthomonas cucurbitae), Squash mosaic virus, Cucumber mosaic virus, Tobacco ringspot virus, Rhizome rot (Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. zingiberi) and Cucurbit angular leaf spot (Pseudomonas syringae pv. lachrymans),
3) Bacterial fruit blotch of cucurbits (Acidovorax avenae) is known not to occur in the area of production.

Option 3 (EXDOC Endorsement No 5008)
Additonal Official Phytosanitary Information:

2) Black rot (Xanthomonas campestris pv cucurbitae), Bacterial blight (Pseudomonas syringae), Bacterial leaf spot of cucurbits (Xanthomonas cucurbitae), Squash mosaic virus, Cucumber mosaic virus, Tobacco ringspot virus, Rhizome rot (fusarium oxysporum f.sp. zingiberi) and Cucurbit angular Leaf spot (Pseudomonas syringae pv. lachrymans) are not known to occur in the area of production,
3) Bacterial fruit blotch of cucurbits (Acidovorax avenae) is known not to occur in the area of production.

Option 4 (EXDOC Endorsement No 5790)
1) Kyuri green mottle mosaic virus, Cucumber leaf spot virus, Khapra beetle (Trogoderma granarium), Cucumber vein yellowing virus and Tomato ringspot virus are not known to occur in Australia,
2) The crop was inspected during active growth and found free from Bacterial blotch in melons (Acidovorax avenae subsp citrulli), Arabis mosaic virus, Scab of cucurbits (Cladosporium cucumerinum), Anthracnose (Colletotrichum lagenarium), Cucumber green mottle mosaic virus, Cucumber mosaic virus, Fusarium wilt (Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cucumerinum), Bud rot (Gibberella avenacea), Melon necrotic spot virus, Broomrape (Orobanche spp), Prunus necrotic ringspot virus, Cucurbit angular leaf spot (Pseudomonas syringae pv. lachrymans), Bean bacterial brown spot (Pseudomonas syringae pv. syringae), Leaf blight of tomato (Pseudomonas viridiflava), Leafy gall fasciation (Rhodococcus fascians), Squash mosaic virus, Witchweed (Striga spp). Tobacco streak virus, Trogoderma spp., Verticillium wilt (Verticillium albo‑atrum), Crown and root rot (Verticillium dahliae), Black rot (Xanthomonas campestris pv cucurbitae) and Zucchini green mottle mosaic virus.
