Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


It is the exporter’s responsibility to ensure that the phytosanitary certificate is issued within 14 days of the consignment being exported from Australia.

Refer to the departure date and inspection date in the Request for Permit.


An Additional declaration is not required for seed that will not be re-exported from the Netherlands.

Listed Additional declarations are for consignments that will be re-exported from the Netherlands.

For any consignments in which the seed is intended to be re-exported from the Netherlands, the exporter to advise at time of making the appointment.

FOR RE-EXPORT CERTIFICATION ONLY- i.e.: Australian seed being exported that will be re-exported from the Netherlands.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Requests by exporters for additional endorsements of seed for sowing being exported to the Netherlands maybe complied with where it is known that the seed shall be re-exported to another destination through a re-export phytosanitary certificate.

Exporters who require endorsements for re-export purposes are to provide written evidence of the additional endorsements and which attests to the endorsement which Department of Agriculture needs to certify to on the Phytosanitary certificate.
Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement No 1309)
Additional Official Phytosanitary Information:
1) Strawberry latent ringspot virus and Khapra beetle (Trogoderma granarium) are not known to occur in Australia,
2) The crop was inspected during active growth and found free from Stem nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci), Bacterial blight (Pseudomonas syringae), Celery leaf blight (Pseudomonas syringae pv. apii) and Bacterial blight of carrot (Xanthomonas hortorum pv. carotae),
3) A representative sample was inspected and found free of Warehouse beetle (Trogoderma variabile).

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement No 2811)
Additional Official Phytosanitary Information:
1) A representative sample was found free through laboratory testing of Halo blights of oats (Pseudomonas syringae pv coronafaciens), Stalk rot (Fusarium graminearum), Eye spot (Pseudocercosporella hertichoides),Victoria blight of oats (Cochiobolus victoriae), Fusarium blight (Fusarium culmorum, Fusarium graminearum), Glume rot (Pseudomonas syringae pv. atrofaciens), Root rot (Pythium irregular and Pythium ultimum) and Stem nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci),
2) A representative sample was inspected and found free from thrips (Limothrips spp), insects, mites and weed seeds. 

Option 3 (EXDOC Endorsement No 2868)
Additional Official Phytosanitary Information:
1) Strawberry latent ringspot virus and Khapra beetle (Trogoderma granarium) are not known to occur in Australia,

Option 4 (EXDOC Endorsement No 4667)
Additional Official Phytosanitary Information:
1) Strawberry latent ringspot virus is not known to occur in Australia,
2) The crop was inspected during active growth and found free from Stem nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci), Bacterial blight (Pseudomonas syringae), Celery leaf blight (Pseudomonas syringae pv. apii) and Bacterial blight of carrot (Xanthomonas hortorum pv. carotae),
3) A representative sample was inspected and found free of Trogoderma spp.

Option 5 (EXDOC Endorsement No 2032)
Additional Official Phytosanitary Information:
1) Strawberry latent ringspot virus and Phyllosticta apii are not known to occur in Australia,
2) The crop was inspected during active growth and found free from Celery leaf blight (Pseudomonas syringae pv. apii) and Phytopthora cryptogea.

Option 6 (EXDOC Endorsement No 3636)
Additional Official Phytosanitary Information:
1) Strawberry latent ringspot virus Is not known to occur in Australia,
2) The crop was inspected during active growth and found free of Celery leaf blight (Pseudomonas syringae pv. apii),
3) A representative sample was inspected and found free of Trogoderma spp.

Option 7 (EXDOC Endorsement No 5163)
Additional Official Phytosanitary Information:
1) Strawberry latent ringspot virus is not known to occur in Australia,
2) A representative sample was inspected and found free of Trgoderma spp,
3) Crop was inspected during active growth and found to be free of Anthracnose (Colletotrichum acutatum), Stem and bulk nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci), Phoma crown rot (Phoma apiicola) and Bacterial blight (Pseudomonas syringae pv. apii).
Directive 2000/29 and a written submission from the Exporter on 13 April 2017 for additional declarations for re-export of seeds from the Netherland.
