Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Consignments are to be treated with an appropriate wide sprectrum fungicide effective against Southern leaf blight of corn (Drechslera maydis) at recommended manufacturer's requirements; and

An appropriate wide-spectrum insecticide or fumigant at recommended manufacturer's requirements.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 2621) 
1) Late wilt (Cephalosporium maydis), Brown stripe downy mildew (Sclerophthora rayssiae var. zeae), Philippine downy mildew (Peronosclerospora philippinensis), Sugar cane downy mildew (Peronosclerospora sacchari), Maize downy mildew (Peronosclerospora maydis), Stewart's disease (Erwinia stewartii), Anthracnose (Kabatiella zeae), Greater grain borer (Prostephanus truncatus) and Corn flea beetle (Chaetocnema pulicaria) are not known to occur in Australia.
2) The consignment has been treated with an appropriate wide spectrum fungicide effective against Southern leaf blight of corn (Drechslera maydis).
