Explanation of the endorsement

Endorsement 7666:

  • Sorghum ergot (Claviceps sorghi) is not known to occur in Australia. No supporting evidence is required to endorse freedom from this pest.
  • Visual inspection by the Authorised Officer is sufficient to endorse freedom from Fall armyworm (Spodoptera frugiperda).
If stated by import permit, consignments are to be fumigated with an appropriate fumigant at manufacturers' recommended rates.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
