Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

The seed must be packed innew, clean and closed packing and labelled with traceable information IncludingCompany, Place of Production, Packing Date and Batch Number.
The seed must be treated with:

  • Captan at 72-144 gram of A.I./100 kgm seed;

OR

  • Thiram at 80-160 gram of A.I./100 kgm seed;

OR

  • Metalaxil– M at 1.40-2.79/100 kgm of seed + Fludioxonil 3.48/100 gram of A.I./kgm seed.
Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 3890)
1) The crop was inspected during growth and found free of Leaf spot of zinnia (Alternaria zinniae), Stem canker (Diaporthe gulyae), Stem canker (Diaporthe kochmanii), Stem canker (Diaporthe kongii), Blight (Phoma macdonaldii), Sunflower rust (Puccinia helianthi), White blister rust of sunflower (Pustula helianthicola), White blister rust (Pustula tragopogonis) and Septoria leaf spot of sunflower (Septoria helianthi),
2) The consignment was found free through laboratory testing of Bacterial blight of sunflowers (Pseudomonas syringae pv helianthi), Apical chlorosis (Pseudomonas syringae pv. tagetis), Star burr (Acanthospermum hispidum), Wireweed (Polygonum convolvulus) and Nodding broomrape (Orobanche cernua).

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 3893)
1) The crop was inspected during growth and found free of Leaf spot of zinnia (Alternaria zinniae), Stem canker (Diaporthe gulyae), Stem canker (Diaporthe kochmanii), Stem canker (Diaporthe kongii), Blight (Phoma macdonaldii), Sunflower rust (Puccinia helianthi), White blister rust of sunflower (Pustula helianthicola), White blister rust (Pustula tragopogonis), Septoria leaf spot of sunflower (Septoria helianthi), Star burr (Acanthospermum hispidum), Wireweed (Polygonum convolvulus) and Nodding broomrape (Orobanche cernua),
