Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

The seeds must be packed in new, clean and closed containers. Packages must be clearly identified with the name of the seed, its quantity (net weight or number of seeds), country of origin and the name of the exporter.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Endorsement 6527
  • An area freedom certificate must be provided to endorse freedom from Dark leaf spot of crucifer (Alternaria brassicicola), Cabbage ring spot (Mycosphaerella brassicicola), Black leg (Leptosphaeria biglobosa) and White leaf spot (Pseudocercosporella capsellae).
Endorsement 6529
  • A crop inspection certificate must be provided to endorse freedom from Dark leaf spot of crucifer (Alternaria brassicicola), Cabbage ring spot (Mycosphaerella brassicicola), Black leg (Leptosphaeria biglobosa) and White leaf spot (Pseudocercosporella capsellae).
Endorsement 6530
  • A laboratory analysis certificate must be provided to endorse freedom from Dark leaf spot of crucifer (Alternaria brassicicola), Cabbage ring spot (Mycosphaerella brassicicola), Black leg (Leptosphaeria biglobosa) and White leaf spot (Pseudocercosporella capsellae).

Seeds are to be immersed in hot water at 50 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes, followed by the application of an appropriate fungicide that is registered in Australia for the prevention or control of Dark leaf spot of crucifer (Alternaria brassicicola), Cabbage ring spot (Mycosphaerella brassicicola), Black leg (Leptosphaeria biglobosa) and White leaf spot (Pseudocercosporella capsellae) in broccoli seeds at approved label rates.


The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 6527)

1) Dark leaf spot of crucifer (Alternaria brassicicola), Cabbage ring spot (Mycosphaerella brassicicola), Black leg (Leptosphaeria biglobosa) and White leaf spot (Pseudocercosporella capsellae) are not known to occur in the area of production.

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 6529)

1) The crop was inspected during the growing season and found to be free of Dark leaf spot of crucifer (Alternaria brassicicola), Cabbage ring spot (Mycosphaerella brassicicola), Black leg (Leptosphaeria biglobosa) and White leaf spot (Pseudocercosporella capsellae).

Option 3 (EXDOC Endorsement 6530)

1) The consignment was found free through laboratory testing of Dark leaf spot of crucifer (Alternaria brassicicola), Cabbage ring spot (Mycosphaerella brassicicola), Black leg (Leptosphaeria biglobosa) and White leaf spot (Pseudocercosporella capsellae).
