Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


The seeds must be packed in new, clean and closed containers. The quantity of seeds in each package must not exceed 20 kg. Packages are to be clearly identified with the name of the seed, its quantity (net weight or number of seeds), country of origin and the name of the exporter.

Neocamarosporium betae is a synonym of Phoma betae.

Ramularia beticola is a synonym of Ramularia betae.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Consignments are to be treated prior to export using one of the following products:

  • Difenoconazol (150g/L) in a dose of 70ml/100kg of seed;

OR

  • Carbendazin (30g) + Thiram (30g) in a dose of 200ml/100kg of seed;

OR

  • an alternative fungicide or a mixture registered in Australia for the prevention or control of Cercospora leaf spot of beet (Cercospora beticola), Black leg of beet (Neocamarosporium betae), Sugar beet downy mildew (Peronospora farinosa f. sp. betae), Remularia leaf spot (Ramularia beticola) and Beet rust (Ucromyces beticola) in beet seeds.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Treatment details such as the active ingredient and doses must be specified in the treatment section of the phytosanitary certificate.
Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 6106)
1) The consignment was inspected and found free of Cercospora leaf spot of beet (Cercospora beticola), Black leg of beet (Neocamarosporium betae), Sugar beet downy mildew (Peronospora farinosa f. sp. betae), Remularia leaf spot (Ramularia beticola) and Beet rust (Ucromyces beticola).
2) The consignment was found free through laboratory testing of Sugar beet leaf spot (Pseudomonas syringae pv aptata).

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 6107)
1) The consignment was inspected and found free of Cercospora leaf spot of beet (Cercospora beticola), Black leg of beet (Neocamarosporium betae), Sugar beet downy mildew (Peronospora farinosa f. sp. betae), Remularia leaf spot (Ramularia beticola) and Beet rust (Ucromyces beticola).
2) The production site was inspected during the growing season and found to be free of Sugar beet leaf spot (Pseudomonas syringae pv aptata).
