Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Consignments exporting under endorsements 6487, 6488, 6489, 6490, 6491 or 6492 must undergo treatment against quarantine pests.

Cold treatment

  • 1.5 degrees Celsius plus or minus 0.5 degrees Celsius for a minimum of 20 days.
The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Onshore cold treatment must be certified in the treatment section of the Phytosanitary certificate.
 
Methyl bromide fumigation

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 6484)
1) The fruits originate in an area established by the Australian Government as being free from Black spot (Phyllosticta citricarpa),
2) The fruits originate in Australia which is recognised as being free from Fruit and leaf spot of citrus (Pseudocercospora angolensis),
3) A representative sample was inspected and found free from evidence of pests and diseases, including Citrus bud mite (Aceria sheldoni) and Black parlatoria scale (Parlatoria ziziphi).


Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 6485)
1) The fruits originate in a place of production established by the Australian Government as being free from Black spot (Phyllosticta citricarpa), and the fruits are found free of symptoms of Black spot (Phyllosticta citricarpa) by official inspection of a representative sample,
2) The fruits originate in Australia which is recognised as being free from Fruit and leaf spot of citrus (Pseudocercospora angolensis),
3) A representative sample was inspected and found free from evidence of pests and diseases, including Citrus bud mite (Aceria sheldoni) and Black parlatoria scale (Parlatoria ziziphi).


Option 3 (EXDOC Endorsement 6486)
1) The fruits originate in a site of production subjected to appropriate treatments and cultural measures against Black spot (Phyllosticta citricarpa), and official inspections have been carried out in the site of production during the growing season since the beginning of the last cycle of vegetation and no symptoms of Black spot (Phyllosticta citricarpa) have been detected in the fruits, and the harvested fruits from that site of production are found free of symptoms of Black spot (Phyllosticta citricarpa) during an official inspection prior to export of a representative sample, and information of traceability is included,
2) The fruits originate in Australia which is recognised as being free from Fruit and leaf spot of citrus (Pseudocercospora angolensis),

3) A representative sample was inspected and found free from evidence of pests and diseases, including Citrus bud mite (Aceria sheldoni) and Black parlatoria scale (Parlatoria ziziphi)

1) The fruits originate in a place of production established by the Australian Government as being free from Black spot (Phyllosticta citricarpa), and the fruits are found free of symptoms of Black spot (Phyllosticta citricarpa) by official inspection of a representative sample,
2) The fruits originate in Australia which is recognised as being free from Fruit and leaf spot of citrus (Pseudocercospora angolensis),
3) The fruits have been subjected to cold disinfestation treatment prior to shipping.
