Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


ICR applies to rattan, bamboo, wooden furniture and articles.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Consignments are not to be packed in earth, leaf or garden mould, compost and farmyard manure, straw or unsterilised sphagnum moss.
Consignments are to be fumigated prior to export with either:

  • Methyl bromide at 48 grm/m3 for 24 hours at 21 degrees Celsius or above (under Normal Atmospheric Pressure);

OR

  • with an appropriate fumigant according to manufacturer's labeling requirements.


 

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
