Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Seed must be devitalised prior to export.
Heat Treatment at core temperature of 95 degrees Celsius and 50% relative humidity for 24 continuous hours;

OR

Heat Treatment at core temperature of 85 degrees Celsius and 50% relative humidity for 48 continuous hours;

OR

Gamma irradiation at 25K gray;

OR

Fumigation with Ethylene oxide under minimum vacuum of 50 kilopascals at 1500grm/m3 for 24 hours at 21 degrees Celsius;

OR

Fumigation with Ethylene oxide under minimum vacuum of 50 kilopascals at 1500 grms/m3 for 4 hours at 50 degrees Celsius.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
