Explanation of the endorsement

Endorsement 8196:
  • Cowpea severe mosaic virus (CPSMV) and Southern Bean Mosaic Virus (SBMV) are not known to occur in Australia.
  • An area freedom certificate, a crop inspection report or a laboratory analysis certificate is required to endorse freedom from Bacterial wilt (Curtobacterium flaccumfaciens pv flaccumfaciens), Bean common mosaic virus (BCMV), Bean yellow mosaic virus(BYMV), Cowpea aphid-borne mosaic virus (CABMV), Cowpea mild mottle virus (CPMMV) and Peanut mottle virus (PeMoV).

Consignments are to be treated with an appropriate insecticide and fungicide at recommended manufacturers' requirements.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
