Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packages/bags not previously used for any purpose.


Seed health testing will be carried out on arrival.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Explanation of the endorsements

Endorsement 8292:
  • Black Gram Mottle Virus, Broad Bean Mottle Virus, Urdbean leaf crinkle virus and Mung Bean Yellow Mosaic Virus are not known to occur in Australia.
  • A combination of crop inspection at active growth, area of production freedom and lab analysis certificates may be used to endorse freedom from Bean common mosaic virus (BCMV), Bacterial wilt (Curtobacterium flaccumfaciens pv flaccumfaciens), common blight (Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. phaseoli), Alfalfa Mosaic Virus, Halo blight of beans (Pseudomonas savastonoi pv phaseolicola) and Charcoal rot of bean/tobacco (Macrophomina phaseolina).
Consignments are to be treated with an appropriate insecticide and fungicide at recommended manufacturers' requirements.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

2) The consignment was found free through official testing and inspection procedure of Bean common mosaic virus (BCMV), Bacterial wilt (Curtobacterium flaccumfaciens pv flaccumfaciens), common blight (Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. phaseoli), Alfalfa Mosaic Virus, Halo blight of beans (Pseudomonas savastonoi pv phaseolicola) and Charcoal rot of bean/tobacco (Macrophomina phaseolina).
