The consignment must be exported within 14 days of inspection and the phytosanitary certificate must be issued within 14 days of the consignment being exported from Australia.
Consignments grown / sourced from outside PFAs must be treated against fruit flies by fumigation with Methyl bromide at one of the following rates:
- 16 grm/m3 at 32 degrees Celsius or above for 2 hours;
OR
- 24 grm/m3 at 26 - 31.9 degrees Celsius or above for 2 hours;
OR
- 32 grm/m3 at 21 - 25.9 degrees Celsius or above for 2 hours;
OR
- 40 grm/m3 at 15 - 20.9 degrees Celsius or above for 2 hours;
OR
- 48 grm/m3 at 10 - 14.9 degrees Celsius or above for 2 hours.
