Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packages/bags not previously used for any purpose.

Seed health testing will be carried out on arrival.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Explanation of the endorsement:

Endorsement 8197
  • A laboratory analysis certificate, a crop inspection report, or area freedom certificate is required for endorsing freedom from Pod spot (Alternaria japonica), Bacterial leaf blight of tomato (Pseudomonas viridiflava) and Black rot (Xanthomonas campestris pv campestris). 

Consignments are to be treated with an appropriate insecticide and fungicide at recommended manufacturers' requirements.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
