Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


Note: Lablab purpureus is a synonym of Dolichos purpureus.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packages/bags not previously used for any purpose.


Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Seed health testing will be carried out on arrival.

Freedom from the pest of concern to Mauritius can be endorsed as follows:

  • Cowpea mosaic virus (Not Known to occur in Australia) – No Evidence required
  • Sunnhemp mosaic virus (Not seed-borne in Dolichos purpureus – Not on export pathway) – No Evidence required
  • Tobacco ringspot virus (Not seed-borne in Dolichos purpureus – Not on export pathway) – No Evidence required
  • Soybean mosaic virus (Not seed-borne in Dolichos purpureus – Not on export pathway) – No Evidence required
  • Dolichos yellow mosaic virus (Not Known to occur in Australia) – No Evidence required
  • Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. Phaseoli (Not seed-borne in Dolichos purpureus – Not on export pathway) – No Evidence required
  • Cartobacterium flaccumfasciens pv. Flaccumfasciens (Not seed-borne in Dolichos purpureus – Not on export pathway) – No Evidence required
Consignments are to be treated with an appropriate insecticide and fungicide at recommended manufacturers' requirements.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

2) The consignment was found free through official testing and inspection procedure of Soybean mosaic virus, Sunnhemp mosaic virus, Tobacco ringspot virus, American common blight (Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. phaseoli) and Bacterial wilt (Curtobacterium flaccumfaciens pv. flaccumfaciens).
