Note: Lablab purpureus is a synonym of Dolichos purpureus.

Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packages/bags not previously used for any purpose.


Seed health testing will be carried out on arrival.

  • Cowpea mosaic virus is not known to occur in Australia. No evidence is required to endorse freedom from this pest.
  • Dolichos yellow mosaic virus is not known to occur in Australia. No evidence is required to endorse freedom from this pest.
  • An area freedom certificate, a crop inspection report or a laboratory analysis certificate is required to endorse freedom from Sunn-hemp mosaic virus, Tobacco ringspot virus, Soybean mosaic virus, American common blight (Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. phaseoli) and Bacterial wilt (Curtobacterium flaccumfaciens pv. flaccumfaciens).
Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Consignments are to be treated with an appropriate insecticide and fungicide at recommended manufacturers' requirements.
