- Soft rot of the interior of the fruit (Xanthomonas melonis) is not known to occur in Australia. No supporting evidence is required to endorse freedom from this pest.
- An area freedom certificate, a crop inspection report or a laboratory analysis certificate must be provided as evidence of freedom from Bacterial blotch in melons (Acidovorax avenae subsp citrulli), Cucurbit angular leaf spot (Pseudomonas syringae pv lachrymans) and Squash mosaic virus.
Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Seed health testing will be carried out on arrival.
Consignments are to be treated with an appropriate broad spectrum insecticide/fungicide at recommended manufacturers' requirements.
