The import permit number and date of issue of the permit must be quoted in the import permit section of the phytosanitary certificate.
Consignments are to be fumigated prior to export with:
- Methyl bromide (under Normal Atmospheric Pressure) at:
- 32 grm/m3 for 24 hours at 30 degrees celsius;
OR
- 48 grm/m3 for 24 hours at 21 degrees celsius;
OR
- 56 grm/m3 for 24 hours at 16-20 degrees celsius;
OR
- 64 grm/m3 for 24 hours at 11-15 degrees celsius;
OR
- 72 grm/m3 for 24 hours at 10 degrees celsius
OR
- Phosphine at:
- 1.5 grm/m3 for 7 days at 19 degree celsius or above
The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Details of treatment are to be endorsed on the Phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section (if specified on the import permit);
OR
A fumigation certificate with details of treatment issued by the fumigation company to accompany the consignment (if specified on the import permit).
