It is the exporter's responsibility to ensure that the phytosanitary certificate is issued within 14 days prior to consignment departure if stated as a requirement by the import permit.
Refer to the departure date and inspection date in the Request for Permit.
If required by the import permit, the description "Raw dried/unprocessed wheat for processing and not for planting" OR "Raw dried/unprocessed wheat for processing or consumption and not for planting" may be entered in the "Additional product description field" section of the EXDOC Request for Permit (RFP). To enable the field on the RFP the exporter must submit a request to the EXDOC Plant Programs via email (EXDOCPlantPrograms@aff.gov.au).
If stated by import permit consignments are to be fumigated prior to export with either:
Note: Malaysia has been issuing import permits with varying treatment requirements. Treatment details are only to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate if stated on the import permit.
- Methyl bromide at 32 grm/m3 for 24 hours at or above 21 degrees Celsius;
OR
- Phosphine at 2gm/m3 for 120 hours.
