A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


All consignments (bulk and small packaging) must be free of bark.

All consignments must be shipped in lots of no more than 2 cubic metres in volume and packaged in clear plastic wrapping (if shipped in bulk)
  • Fumigated with Methyl bromide at 48gm/m3 for more tham 24 continuous hours at a minimum tempertaure of 21 degrees celsius;
OR
  • Fumigated with Phosphine at 4gm/m3 for 120 continuous hours at a minimum tempertaure of 21 degrees celsius;

OR

  • Heat treated for more than 4 hours at a minimum continuous core temperature of 70 degrees celsius
The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the department at time of authorisation.
